Folake Adewunmi Re: Late Chief Adebola Akibola & Olabisi Odedeyi April 10, 2012

My late Mum Mrs Olabisi Odedeyi nee Akibola, sister to Chief Akibola, gave me a message regarding Chief Adebola
Akibola
whilst she was hospitalised in Manchester UK. She passed on to Glory as a born again believer soon after
this time.

The message that she gave me was to make sure  we abide in Christ Jesus I and my family kept in touch with
Chief Akibola and  ask him to maintain family union. Following our message to Chief Akibola, he organised an
Akibola descendants family meeting in Abeokuta which was well attended by the Akibolas. I also spoke to Chief Akibola
during the meeting from Manchester.

It is my prayer for all the Akibolas to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour so that we will all meet our dear
ones in
heaven in Jesus name Amen, as heaven is very real!!!

Mrs Folake Adewunmi, Akibola descendant.

Aba Williams-Otebele Dr. January 6, 2010

My deepest sympathies to the Akibola family and all the in-laws. Cheif Akibola is an unforgettable person, he will always be with us. The many times he visited us in the US, he would make his rounds of not only his children but his other relatives. He even went to church with me in LA. I can still hear his hearty laugh. He left such an impression on my friends and church members, that they would often ask about my uncle. On his part, he knew the father or the uncle of everyone I introduced to him and would not stop teasing me about conducting the church choir. His charisma was unmatched. He would have us laughing for hours. His favorite eating place in downtown LA was 'The Pantry'. A place he dined with his family when he first visited Folabi and I in LA.

He was very steadfast and loyal, a true family man. He remained a loyal part of the Abati-Williams family even long after the passing of his first wife. He attended every event, every occasion and was a favorite uncle that we all looked forward to see. He would sorely be missed, but we know he has gone home to rest. He thoroughly prepared us for 'his journey'. He gave us plenty of notice, but now that the time has come, it is hard to swallow. Adieu Cheif Akibola! May his soul rest in perfect peace!                                                                                     Aba
